Restoration work in Orange County has a rhythm all its own. We get called out for slab leaks in Irvine when winter ground shifts, for humidity-driven mold in coastal homes from Laguna to Newport, and for the occasional flash-flood surprise in canyons that rarely see rain. The crew we’ve built here knows those patterns because they’ve lived them. Every person on this team has walked through hundreds of local homes, crawled under raised foundations built in the ’60s, and pulled wet drywall out of garages in Anaheim Hills. What unites us is simpler than you’d think: we like fixing what water breaks, and we like handing the keys back to someone who can finally stop worrying.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Blake Sorensen, Owner & Lead Restoration Technician
Blake founded Wendell Restoration Orange County in 2006 and still runs jobs personally. He’s IICRC-certified in water damage restoration and applied structural drying, and he’s logged time on everything from 500-square-foot condo leaks in Costa Mesa to full-scale commercial dryouts in Santa Ana. Blake’s the one who’ll explain psychrometric drying (tracking the air’s moisture level so we know when your home is truly dry, not just surface-dry) without making you feel like you’re back in a chemistry lecture. He has a dry habit of pointing out that Orange County’s “sunny and zero percent chance of leaks” reputation tends to evaporate the moment a water heater lets go at 2 a.m. He answers his phone.
Marco Delgado, Senior Remediation Technician
Marco has been with Wendell for nine years and runs most of our mold remediation jobs across central Orange County. He’s certified in applied microbial remediation and has a sharp eye for overlooked moisture sources: the back side of baseboards in older Fullerton homes, the wall cavity behind a tub surround in a Garden Grove rental, the crawlspace vent that’s been blocked by landscaping for a decade. Marco keeps photos of every stage of the job and texts them to the homeowner as he goes; he’s the reason our before-and-after documentation gets mentioned in reviews. Off the clock, he restores old Japanese motorcycles. He says it’s the same patience problem, just with fewer dehumidifiers.
Danielle Kim, Service Coordinator
Danielle is the voice on the other end of (350) 207-2599 more often than not. She’s been coordinating restoration crews since 2014 and spent three of those years at a high-volume mitigation company in Los Angeles before joining us. Danielle’s job is to make sure you know exactly who’s coming, when they’re coming, and what the first step is. She sends the written price before work starts, keeps the digital invoice simple to pay from your phone, and makes sure Blake or Marco get your photos quickly when you’re standing in water at midnight. She grew up in Yorba Linda and has strong opinions about Orange County freeway shortcuts, which she will happily share if you ask.
Luis Ortega, Restoration Technician Apprentice
Luis is in his second year on the crew and splits his time between water extraction support and the finishing side of our repair work. He’s currently working toward his IICRC water restoration certification under Blake’s supervision and has already earned his EPA Lead-Safe certification, which matters on older Orange County homes where pre-1978 paint is in play. Luis is the calmest person in the room after a water heater has flooded a garage, and he’s the one running moisture meters and logging readings into our drying logs. He’s a former high school wrestler from Santa Ana who can probably tell you the best birria spot within ten minutes of any jobsite in the county.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Wendell Restoration Orange County job runs on the same standing offers, no matter who walks through your door. The price is put in writing before any work starts, and a digital invoice is texted so you can pay from the link. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is stated in writing on every repair: if it’s not done right, we make it right, for a full year. And if a repair fails, we come back for a free second visit. The team works under IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards with equipment partners like Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry. Every technician is background-checked and uniformed, and every call is answered by a live person, 24/7. That’s The Relay Standard, and it’s the only way we work in Orange County.
